We're Meshon Technology, and we run an educational platform focused on trading and financial statements. This policy explains what information we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it.
Our operations are based in Bangkok, Thailand, and we follow Thai data protection laws, including the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). If you're using our services, this policy applies to you.
Running an educational platform means we need certain information to provide our services. Here's what we typically gather and why it matters.
When you sign up for our learning programs, we collect basic details. Your name, email address, phone number, and a password you create. We also need to know where you're located, generally just your city and country. This helps us customize content for the Thai market and send you relevant updates.
Since we teach trading and financial statement analysis, we track your progress through courses. Which lessons you've completed, quiz scores, time spent on materials, and areas where you might be struggling. This isn't about surveillance—it helps us improve our teaching and give you personalized support.
When you pay for courses, we process that transaction. We don't store your full credit card numbers ourselves. That's handled by our payment processors. But we do keep records of what you purchased, when, and the transaction amount for accounting purposes.
Like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information. Your IP address, browser type, device details, and how you navigate through our site. This helps us fix bugs, prevent security issues, and make the platform work better on different devices.
We're pretty straightforward about this. Your data serves specific purposes related to running an educational service.
The main reason we have your information is to deliver the courses you signed up for. We use it to give you access to materials, track what you've learned, send you course updates, and provide support when you need help understanding something.
We analyze how students use our platform—not individual tracking, but patterns. If lots of people are struggling with a particular module on financial ratios, that tells us we might need to redesign that section or add more examples.
We'll send you emails about your courses, upcoming programs that might interest you, and occasional updates about our services. You can opt out of marketing emails, but we'll still need to send you important stuff about courses you're actively taking.
Sometimes we're required by Thai law to maintain certain records, especially around financial transactions and business operations. We keep what's legally necessary and nothing more.
We don't sell your personal information to third parties. We don't use your data for purposes unrelated to our educational services. And we don't share your learning records with anyone unless you explicitly ask us to or we're legally required to do so.
We work with other companies to run our platform. Here's who might see your information and why.
We use cloud hosting services to store data, payment processors to handle transactions, and email services to communicate with you. These companies only get access to information necessary for their specific function, and they're bound by contracts to protect it.
If we're offering a course in partnership with another institution or instructor, they might need access to your enrollment and progress information. We'll always tell you upfront if a course involves sharing data with partners.
Thai authorities can request information if they have legal grounds. We'll comply with valid legal requests, but we'll also push back on overly broad demands that don't seem necessary.
Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act gives you several rights. Here's what you can do and how to exercise these rights.
You can ask us what personal information we have about you. We'll provide it in a readable format within 30 days. There's no charge for this unless you're making repeated requests, in which case we might charge a reasonable administrative fee.
If something we have on file is wrong, you can ask us to fix it. Most of this you can do yourself through your account settings. For things you can't change directly, contact us and we'll update it within a reasonable timeframe.
You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format. If you want to move to another educational platform, we'll give you your information in a way that makes that easier.
You can ask us to delete your account and associated data. We'll do this within 30 days, though we might need to keep some information for legal or accounting purposes. We'll explain what we're keeping and why.
You can object to certain types of data processing or ask us to restrict how we use your information. This might limit what services we can provide you, but you have the right to make that choice.
Send us an email at support@meshontechnology.com with your request. We'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by Thai law. If you're not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee in Thailand.
Security isn't just a checkbox for us. We've put real effort into protecting your information.
We use encryption for data transmission and storage. Your password is hashed, meaning even we can't see what it is. Our servers are protected by firewalls and regular security updates. We monitor for suspicious activity and have systems in place to detect potential breaches.
Not everyone on our team can access all data. We use role-based permissions, so people only see what they need for their job. Database access is logged and reviewed regularly.
We conduct security reviews quarterly and penetration testing annually. When vulnerabilities are found, we fix them quickly. We also train our staff on data protection practices.
If there's ever a data breach, we have a plan. We'll notify affected users within 72 hours as required by Thai law, explain what happened, what data was involved, and what we're doing about it.
We don't keep your information forever. Different types of data have different retention schedules based on legal requirements and business needs.
While you're an active user, we keep all your course data, progress records, and account information. This makes sense—you need access to your learning history and materials.
When you close your account, we delete most personal information within 90 days. However, we're required to keep financial records for seven years under Thai accounting law. We'll also keep anonymized learning data for research purposes.
If you've opted into marketing communications but never signed up for courses, we'll keep your contact information for three years. After that, we'll delete it unless you've engaged with our communications.
Our primary operations are in Thailand, but some of our service providers operate internationally. Here's how we handle that.
We use cloud providers with data centers in Southeast Asia. Your information is primarily stored in Singapore and Thailand. These locations were chosen for their strong data protection laws and proximity to our user base.
When data does move across borders, we use standard contractual clauses approved by Thai authorities. Our contracts with international providers require them to maintain security standards equivalent to what's required in Thailand.
Sensitive personal information and financial data stays within Thailand as much as possible. We've structured our systems to minimize cross-border transfers while still providing reliable service.
We use cookies. Not the edible kind, but small files that help our website function properly.
These are necessary for basic functionality. They remember that you're logged in, keep items in your course cart, and maintain your preferences. You can't disable these without breaking the site.
We use these to understand how people use our platform. Which pages are popular, where people get stuck, how long they spend on different sections. This helps us improve the user experience. You can opt out of these through your browser settings.
These track whether you came from an ad or promotional campaign. They help us understand which marketing efforts are working. Again, you can disable these if you prefer.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Just be aware that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from using certain features of our platform.
Our services are designed for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old.
If you're under 18 and want to use our platform, you'll need parental consent. If we discover that we've collected data from someone under 18 without proper consent, we'll delete that information promptly.
Parents or guardians can contact us to review, modify, or delete information about their children. We take this seriously and will verify parental identity before making any changes.
Privacy practices evolve, and laws change. We update this policy periodically to reflect those changes.
When we make significant changes, we'll notify active users via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. We'll also post a notice on our website and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
If you continue using our services after changes take effect, that means you accept the updated policy. If you don't agree with changes, you can close your account before they become effective.
We're here to help. Reach out if you have concerns or need clarification about how we handle your information.
